I don't have a KING line (that I know of), but in my research about Laban MORRIS, I spent a lot of time researching the KING family — specifically John KING, son of Joel KING and husband of Winifred KEMP.

Here are some of the existing posts on this site about the various KING families around Craven County and the surrounding area:

  • King mentions in Craven County Court Minutes 1767-1791 & other items of interest
  • Will of Joel KING of Craven County – Proved Dec 1799
  • Fornes mentions in Craven County Court Minutes 1765-1785 & other items of interest (Because Joel KING's daughter, Jerusha KING married a FORNES)
  • If your people come from the Craven/Pitt/Beaufort County area, please read this! (This was from back when I thought it was possible that Jerusha KING was Laban MORRIS's mother, but it still has a lot of useful information.)
