| 5951 | William C. Lee was a traveling Methodist minister. He met and married Adelaide while preaching in Bristol, TN before her 16th birthday. He later "disappeared," leaving her to raise their children on her own. His grandchild, Leola Lee Fugate was able to see him preach on one of his return visits during her early adult years. He apparently had very little "book learning," but never the less delivered a rousing sermon on Ezekiel 18, verse 2: What ye mean that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying the fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth have been set on edge?"
